Ridgewood

This Ridgewood home was designed for a family of four who wanted a space that felt clean and calm, but still had warmth and personality.

Paint and wallpaper played a big role in the design, giving individual rooms their own identity while keeping the house connected as a whole. Window treatments were carefully considered as well, layering shades, curtains and blackout options to manage light and add softness throughout the home.

Because the kitchen was where the family naturally spent most of their time, we added a built in banquette and approached the dining area more like a lounge, creating a comfortable place to eat, hang out and spend time together.

Furnishings were kept fairly neutral, with color, pattern, texture and playful lighting bringing character to each space. The result is a home that feels personal, comfortable and pulled together without feeling overly designed.
